1/72 Trumpeter PLA ZTZ-99A Main Battle Tank - 07171

The ZTZ-99A tank, dubbed China's land battle champion, made its debut in a grand military parade at Tian'anmen Square, Beijing, on September 3, 2015. However, it had already gained global recognition earlier during the 'Peace Mission 2014' exercises of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Its agility, power, and speed left the world in awe. The tank's turret boasts enhanced new-generation explosive reactive armor and top-mounted new-type compound armor. Additionally, China's laser dazzler system further boosts its power. Standing slightly taller than the ZTZ-99 but over 30 cm shorter than NATO's 2.7-meter tank, the ZTZ-99A has a 0.45-meter ground clearance, requiring clever design and arrangement within its less-than-two-meter height. This over-50-ton tank features both manual and automatic operating systems, enabling automatic gear shifting and continuous, even pivot, steering at any radius via the steering wheel.
